Dentist in St. Louis, MO

Dr. Theodore Rechtin was born in St. Louis in 1973. He graduated from SLUH in 1991. He went on to Indiana University for his undergraduate studies and was granted early acceptance to Indiana University School Of Dentistry. It was in his third year of dental school he met Dr. Heather. After graduation in 1998, Dr. Ted practiced dentistry in Marion, Indiana for two years. In May of 2000 Dr. Ted and Dr. Heather were married and moved back to St. Louis and started their practice together. They opened the new facility in March of 2003 with all new state-of the-art equipment and technology.

Dr. Ted is a member of the American Dental Association and the Missouri Dental Association. He recently finished a three year term on the Board of Directors of the Greater St. Louis Dental Society. He is a standing member of the Board of Directors of Missouri Dental Insurance Services. Dr. Ted is also a member of the Crown Council, which is a group of distinguished dentists who gather to learn and share knowledge from across the United States and abroad. He stays up on the changing trends and technology in dentistry by regularly attending continuing education seminars.

When not practicing or learning Dr. Rechtin enjoys being with his wife Heather and their twins Teddy and Adeline. He is also an avid fan of all sports, and loves to play golf.

Although recently on hiatus to take care of the twins, Dr. Heather is still a great presence in the office. Dr. Heather is from Fort Wayne, Indiana where she attended Homestead High School. She went to Indiana University for her undergraduate studies and then went on to Indiana University School of Dentistry where she earned her DDS in 1997. She practiced in Indianapolis and Fort Wayne for three years following graduation. In May of 2000 she married Dr. Ted and moved to St. Louis to open Signature Smiles of St. Louis.

Dr. Heather is a member of the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society. She is also a member of the Crown Council. Dr. Heather stays up on the new techniques and skills by taking several continuing education courses.

Dr. Heather loves to be with her family and friends. She is an avid reader and when she takes on a topic she wants to know everything about it. Ask her about the Titanic sometime.

Amy graduated from Missouri College in 2007 and has been working for Dr. Rechtin as a dental assistant since graduation. When not in the office, Amy enjoys scrap booking, shopping and spending time with friends and family. Amy is planning her wedding for 2011.

Tami graduated from St. Louis Community College in 1999. Tami has been the office manager for 9 years. In her spare time Tami enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and two dogs.

Sandy graduated from Forest Park Community College with a Dental Hygiene Degree in 1987. She has been working with the Drs. Rechtin since 2000. She enjoys her career and caring for her patients is her top priority. She has been married to her wonderful husband John since 1988. While away from the office Sandy loves to cook and entertain with family and friends. Her son, Drew is 19 and attends Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla. Her daughter, Olivia is 17 and attends Francis Howell North High School. Sandy is a HUGE St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan.

Amanda graduated from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with a bachelor's degree in 2007 and Forest Park Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2010. She has been working for Dr. Rechtin as a Registered Dental Hygienist since graduation. She enjoys seeing new as well as regular patients and takes great pride in her work. While not in the office, Amanda loves riding horses, riding motorcycles and spending time with her husband.

Courtney graduated from Missouri College in 2010 and has been working for Dr. Rechtin as a dental assistant since September of 2010. When not in the office, Courtney enjoys being outside riding four wheelers and spending time with family and friends.
